Fifty percent of the voting for the ‘Survivor’ Hall of Fame was based on the ballots of the Executive Voting Committee. This blue-ribbon panel consists of “Survivor” luminaries such as “Survivor” crew members, the current members of the “Survivor” Hall of Fame, the “Survivor” press corps, and XFINITY TV’s “Survivor” Guy Gordon Holmes. The other fifty percent came from “Survivor” fans like you.

The “Survivor” Hall of Fame is proud to induct Tina Wesson as the second member of the Class of 2016. Tina received the highest number of fan votes.
We had a chance to speak with the newly crowned Hall of Famer to get her thoughts on this honor…
Gordon Holmes: Congratulations on being inducted into the Class of 2016. How does it feel to be honored by the “Survivor” crew, press and fans?
Tina Wesson: I am constantly awed and shocked by any attention I receive. I was part of the early and original casting process that chose ordinary people for the show. I was and am about as ordinary as they come. The fact that other people who love the show, or take part in the show or like Jeff help produce the show, deem me worthy of being a Hall of Fame member is humbling and again just so surprising. I feel a little bad because I’m somewhat reclusive and not on social media to do any self-promotion or to interact a lot with fans of the show, so the fact that they would remember me and vote for me to receive this honor means so very much. I remain a “Survivor” diehard fan and just love everything about it. I still average about two dreams a week that are “Survivor” related.
Holmes: Whoa, what are those like?
Wesson: Usually always consisting of a challenge of some sort, so “Survivor” is very much a part of me. Thank you to everyone who thought I deserved this award.
Holmes: Nobody has had a more diverse “Survivor” experience than you. You’ve won, you’ve been eliminated first, you’ve been on the jury. What’s left?
Wesson: Host the show! (Laughs) Totally kidding. Hopefully winning the all winners edition that everyone hopes comes to pass!
Holmes: What are your thoughts on “Millennials vs. Gen-X” as we head into the finale?
Wesson: As always “epic” as Mr. Burnett likes to say. Just when you think the producers have run out of new concepts they surprised us with a doozy like this. Thanks for the great entertainment!
What the fans said about Tina…
“She was one Immunity win away from possibly becoming the second two-time winner in history.” – Matt
“With Tina and Richard winning back-to-back, it proved that different styles can win the game.” – Lilly
“Don’t count All-Stars against her. All former winners were being targeted.” – Randy
What the Executive Voting Committee said about Tina…
“First woman to win “Survivor,” first-boot of the first all-star season, battled her way back from Redemption Island and got voted out yet again to become the final member of the jury in a modern season… of all the castaways across the 30+ seasons, no one has had a fuller “Survivor” experience than Tina.” – Josh Wigler – Parade
“What puts her over the top for me is her second return showing, 25 seasons later she managed to battle her way back from Redemption Island and almost get to the end of “Blood vs. Water.” Strong play in two very different eras of “Survivor” is super impressive in my book.” – Gordon Holmes – XFINITY TV
Be sure to check back Wednesday to meet the final member of the “Survivor” Hall of Fame Class of 2016.
