Sydney Wheeler wasn’t shown doing a whole lot on “Survivor.” She flirted, she cuddled, and she followed the leader. But what did we miss out on?

We had a chance to talk to Sydney the day after her dismissal to get her thoughts on what the editors didn’t show, her secret strategies, and flying ceramic pigs.

The Rules: Each week, “Survivor: Gabon” alumni and former Onion Alliance kingpin Charlie Herschel and your beloved “Survivor” recapper Gordon Holmes will create separate power rankings. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the “Survivor: Tocantins” Power Rankings Challenge Champion.

‘Survivor’ Castaway Interview: Spencer Duhm

March 13, 2009 by

Remember the first time you saw “Survivor?” Odds are it involved Richard Hatch running around in the buff, Sue Hawk cursing, or Greg Buis talking into a coconut. The latest “Survivor” castaway remembers this…but he was only ten years old when it happened…

We sat down with 19-year-old Spencer Duhm the day after he was voted out of “Survivor: Tocantins.” We had a chance to discuss JT’s tooth, Jeff Probst’s evil prank, and the truth behind the all-male alliance that we never saw.

Last Week on ‘Survivor’: Coach promoted Tyson to Assistant Coach, imitated Erinn, and was offended when Jerry suggested Brendan would make a good leader. ‘Survivor’ Castaway Interview: Jerry Sims

February 27, 2009 by

We’ve learned a lot from ‘Survivor’ over the years. Michael Skupin taught us not to breathe in too much smoke, Richard Hatch taught us to pay our taxes, and Corinne Kaplan taught us never to cross her…ever. Last night, Jerry Sims taught us something new: never try to get by on an all-bean diet.

We had a chance to sit down with Jerry and get his thoughts on who the most deceptive member of Timbira was, the truth behind Coach’s mysterious healing potion, and which player really has the power to communicate using only his eyes…

‘Survivor: Tocantins’ Episode 3 Recap – Blonde Leading the Blind

February 26, 2009 by

Last Week on ‘Survivor’: Coach went back on his bold “Let the Strong People Win” strategy by voting off Candace, a woman I’m pretty sure could beat him in an arm-wrestling match. Also, Taj and Brendan were sent to Exile (not an) Island where they plotted to form a super secret cross-tribe alliance.

This week; Coach delegates his coaching duties, Taj plants seeds for the future, and Sandy says something that leaves me trying to figure out a way to un-hear things…
